Now I´m settled here in London, Old Isleworth, and holiday is over. I arrived last friday and only got to spend one night in my new room before we were of to Soul Survivor. It is a big youth conferans in Somerset. When it stoped raining it was great:) there were 12 000 youths there, and 1000 got saved!!! That was incradible! It was mainly Tim huges who had the worship, and it was amazing!
The five girls on our team shared a tent, while marius got his own:) We ate all our meals togheter with Holy Trinity Hounslow, the church that Marte and Elaine work in. They were so nice and funny and fed us well::
Our team: Me and Marius19 are working in St. Stephens. Marte19(soon20) and Elaine25 in Holy Trinity, and Maria22(soon23) and Lydia25 who work in Alparton. Lydia and Elaine are the brasilian girls by the way!
I thought I would get some quiet days after Soul survivor, but I was wrong...
I came home thursday, and friday the team met in London. We did a lot of walking...and since we are only one boy, we have to take care of him, so therefor we didn´t go to any real shops-as in cloths! It was hard. But after splitting up, me and Marte went stright to bikbok and made up(at least I did) for the loss!
The family: The children of my family have arrived from different hollydays as the days have gone by. Fiona 21 was actually home when we first got here. We did some more shopping togheter in Hounslow on saturday, and she is just amazing:) not wery surprisingly, because the whole family is fantastic! I love staying with them! They are being so nice to me! Joe 17 arrived from a tennis tournment sunday, and monday did we drove to Winchester, where Fiona goes to universitet! It was a beautiful old city, which actually used to be the capital of England.
Here are Anna, Fiona, Nick and Joe in Fionas new livingroom in Winchester
On our way home we went to se Jane Austens house in ...! that was lovely:) Alice 19 arrived in the evening, and she is just like the rest of the family, hwich means very nice:)
The house I live in, which is the wickerich, since Anna (the mum) is the wicker of the church in Old Isleworth, looks like a castle! It lies along the river, and is so beautiful!
Here I got my own little room and a bathroom as well:)
Work: tuesday28. was our first day at work! We met most of the staff and they are great! Since it was still holliday when we started work, Marius and painted the first week, toghether with Alan who is the ... of St.Stephens. We had a great first week with lots of coffeebreaks;)
Sunday the2. we were presented at the service! It´s allways fun to get up in front of people and present yourself in something that´s suppose to sound british!!!
This Tuesday we had our first teamday. We´ll met in the team every Tuesday to have bible lessons, or something like that, and just hang out with the team. The church has very much going on during the week, from children and mums group, to lunch club for the elder, so we will be thrown into pretty much everything! September is a little bit different from the normal sceduale, but once everything is settled, I will showe you my timetable once it´s it´s finished...
